  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner, in collaboration with the accounting team.
    • Perform detailed analysis of financial data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal reporting standards.
    • Develop and provide both recurring and ad hoc financial reports and performance analysis to management.
  • Account Reconciliation & Discrepancy Resolution:
    • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations for general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate maintenance of financial records.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified through financial analysis, providing solutions to enhance financial accuracy.
    • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts with a focus on detail, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvements:
    • Implement and manage internal audits to drive efficiencies and improve accuracy in accounting processes.
    • Document, review, and update accounting procedures regularly to reflect best practices and regulatory changes.
    • Spearhead the development and execution of process improvements, ensuring effective internal controls and streamlined workflows.
  • Cost Accounting & Inventory Management:
    • Perform inventory analysis, ensuring accuracy in cost valuations and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
    • Work closely with supply chain management to understand product-related costs and allocate them efficiently across product lines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training:
    • Collaborate effectively with other departments, particularly in accounts payable, cash disbursements, and cash receipts processes.
    • Drive growth within the team by facilitating cross-training initiatives, enhancing overall department capability and knowledge.
  • System Conversion & Special Projects:
    • Lead the transition to upgraded accounting software and systems, ensuring a smooth conversion process with robust internal controls.
    • Assist with the execution of special accounting projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Experience with cost accounting, inventory management and construction background preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and auditing standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and computerized ledger systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and ability to drive process improvements.

Wage range DOE: $75k to $95k


Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting or finance (general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations)
  • Experience with cost accounting and inventory management
