Position Summary
As part of the Corporate Accounting team within the Finance and Accounting organization, this position supports the financial accounting functions for centralized business unit accounting and accruals as well as support for process transformation initiatives and other corporate accounting projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial results in compliance with US GAAP, while also serving as a key contributor in the centralization, standardization, and transformation of accounting processes.
This position plays a critical role in partnering with business units, corporate teams, and offshore providers to deliver timely, accurate reporting and drive continuous improvement across the close and reporting cycle
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Execute key components of the corporate close process, ensuring deadlines are met
- Analyze fluctuations and provide insightful variance explanations to leadership
- Support balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and issue resolution
- Maintain strong documentation supporting financial results and controls
Transformation & Process Improvement
- Partner with Corporate Accounting leadership to automate, transition and scale work to centralized model
- Support the design and execution of a centralized accounting operating model
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for transitioned processes
- Monitor BPO performance through SLAs, KPIs, and quality reviews
- Identify opportunities to automate journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting processes
- Support implementation and optimization of tools such as BlackLine, SAP, and reporting solutions
- Assist with change management, training, and knowledge transfer to internal and offshore teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting, Tax, and Business Unit Finance teams
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and BPO partners to ensure seamless operations
- Communicate effectively with leadership on risks, issues, and process improvements
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting, consolidations, or Big 4/public accounting
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations preferred
- Exposure to shared services or BPO environments strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with BlackLine, Workiva, or consolidation systems preferred
