We're seeking a proactive and driven Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership of key accounting functions. In this role, you'll play an integral part in the month-end close process, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and partner across the organization to support operational and strategic initiatives. What You Will Do
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including inventory, COGS, prepaids, fixed assets, and other general ledger activity.
- Perform and maintain monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Own fixed asset accounting, including additions, depreciation, disposals, and construction-in-progress.
- Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash application, and corporate credit card reconciliations while serving as a cross-functional resource and backup for the accounting team.
- Execute key month-end close activities, ensuring financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
- Serve as a key user of the Company's ERP and financial systems, supporting system enhancements, process improvements, and data integrity initiatives.
- Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and cross-training to accounting team members while serving as a subject matter resource for accounting processes and month-end close activities.
- Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues, support business initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support special projects and perform additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.
What You'll Need to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in accrual accounting and the month-end close process, preferably within a mid-sized manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience maintaining accurate financial records and supporting timely financial reporting.
- Experience with manufacturing accounting, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound professional judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience identifying process improvements and implementing practical solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Active pursuit of CPA licensure or a strong commitment to a career in accounting.
- Experience in medical device, biotechnology, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Startup or high-growth company experience.
- Experience supporting external audits, ERP implementations, or accounting process improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $105,000/yr
