HEICO is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for its Flight Support Group based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to the Vice President, FTG Accounting & Finance.
In this position, the FTG Senior Accountant will likely:
- Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for entities within the FTG
- Prepare necessary top-sided journal entries for eliminations or adjustments of foreign GAAP to U.S. GAAP
- Assist with the ETG Corporate entity closing, including reconciliation of intercompany accounts and review of subsidiary bank account.
- Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Provide financial and operational support to the HEICO subsidiaries
- Observe the year-end physical inventory counts at the HEICO subsidiaries
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return
- Perform/assist with other duties and special ad-hoc projects
Requirements/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of two to four years of progressive experience in financial accounting (public and/or industry)
- Strong general ledger experience a plus
- Knowledge in areas such as intercompany transactions, financial consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, and foreign exchange accounting a plus
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management
- Strong analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data
- Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
