We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in financial consolidation, intercompany operations, and SaaS revenue recognition rules. This role will be the execution backbone of the accounting and admin function, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and owning the day-to-day bookkeeping accuracy, month-end close execution, and the integrity of transactional data across our legal entities in Spain and the US.

This is a hands-on, technically demanding role for someone who takes pride in clean books, enjoys reconciling intercompany structures, and wants to grow inside a high-velocity SaaS finance team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions, balances, and eliminations.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes: journal entries, payroll entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Maintain and reconcile bank accounts as well as keep the fixed asset register.

  • Prepare supporting documentation and data packages for external auditors, tax advisors, and local accounting providers.

  • Prepare and file VAT returns (Spain) and support US sales tax filings.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements.

  • Provide accurate data and reconciled inputs to support management reporting.

  • Monitor and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.

  • Support for ERP implementation and accounting system optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in international or multi-entity/multi-

    currency environments.

  • Proven track record of executing month-end close independently: journal entries,

    accruals, reconciliations.

  • Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards (PGC) and intercompany accounting.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting tools. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proactive in adopting AI tools within finance workflows.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills: you take clean books personally

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (working proficiency required for both)

Nice-to-have skills
  • US GAAP knowledge and experience with US tax compliance.

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, technology, data, or high-growth international companies.

  • Familiarity with revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and deferred revenue in a subscription business

  • CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Experience with ERP implementations or finance transformation projects.

  • Knowledge of reporting and consolidation tools.
