A growing industrial services company is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in its finance team. Overview
The Senior Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting operations. Working closely with the CFO and finance team, this role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with opportunities to improve processes and support the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries, including intercompany transactions and monthly accruals
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
- Prepare and file sales and use tax, personal property tax, and other required filings
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity environments
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA or active CPA candidacy preferred
