THE ROLE:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for processing accounting transactions, compiling and analyzing financial reports, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and providing ad hoc analyses. This position will have tremendous exposure to all aspects of the accounting cycle. The position requires an individual who has a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls, and financial analysis tools and techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process journal entries and other accounting transactions
Process expense report transactions
Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
Organize and maintain accounting files and records
Perform monthly financial statement analytics
Assist with the year-end audit
Participate in special projects to improve efficiency of accounting processes
Respond to requests for financial/accounting information from all business functions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum 2-5 years accounting experience
Knowledge of GAAP principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
Superior organization skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Focus on managing time well and multi-task
Team player and ability to collaborate with other departments
Detailed oriented
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Ability to adapt in an environment where change is a constant
Prior experience with NetSuite, Ramp, and Tipalti
