About the Position

Get your fine-tooth comb handy because we’re looking for a Senior Accountant! This role requires someone who loves living in the details and performing in-depth analyses to help us optimize our budgetary goals and take our general ledger accounting process to the next level. Working within the Finance department at our corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL, you will analyze financial information to assist in the preparation of financial reports as well as ensure compliance of the company's established accounting principles. Position Responsibilities

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to verify information is complete and accurate

  • Identify discrepancies in accounts and research to resolution

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards and recommend changes or entries, if necessary

  • Ownership over month-send close processes

  • Assist with annual audit procedures

  • Special projects as needed

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in public and/or corporate accounting is required

  • Advanced knowledge of general accounting procedures and principles

  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and complex accounting areas, procedures, and princibles

  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, is required

  • Hand-on experience with ERP/system implementation is a plus (such as: design, testing, cutover, or post-go-live support)
