Job Overview
You will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, handling accounts payable and receivable cycles, preparing financial analysis and reports, assisting with budgeting and audit preparations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and making recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, including preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be in charge of:
- Recording daily financial transactions to the system (Accounts payable/receivable - Cash receipts - General ledger – Payroll - Revenue and expenditure - Balance sheet accounts).
- Handle Accounts payable cycle including the invoice processing up to finalizing the payment.
- Handle Accounts receivables cycle and issuing the invoices to the customer in addition to follow up on the collection.
- Preparing the financial analyses and reports.
- Prepare the monthly and annual cash forecast.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparing the tax activities including income tax, WHT, VAT, and salary tax, and ensuring full compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Making and implementing recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, performing other duties as assigned or required
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, English section is a must.
- 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
- CMA/ IFRS is a bonus
- Previous experience in E-Educational/ E-commerce is a plus.
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and database
- Fluent English is required
