Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong focus on US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of financial accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits. Additionally, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and contribute to strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to our finance team, playing a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. - Responsible for operational accounting and reporting according to US GAAP & IFRS – coordinates the tasks of Finance-related Service Lines (Book-to-Report, Bill-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay);
- Supports the implementation project of the S/4 HANA Public Cloud ERP system;
- Defines the schedule of Month-End-Closure and Year-End-Closure, performs assigned steps, communicates it to stakeholders and ensures implementation in S/4 Public Cloud and global tools;
- Creates and processes of the legal entity, ensuring compliance with Bosch Central Directives, internal processes and US legal framework;
- Act as an S/4 Cloud Process Owner for Book-to-Report (B2R), Invest-to-Dispose (I2D) and Cash-and-Bank processes;
- Banking relationship management: Represent legal entities towards local and global bank institutions;
- Oversees incoming Detective Controls (DC) and Monitoring Procedures (MP), coordinate all audit-related topics
- Manages relationship with auditors and lead audit procedures; prepares annual and quarterly Financial Statements;
- Acts as an IFRS & US GAAP expert with continuous education of the associates about the standards;
- Controls and monitors quality performance with KPIs (target KPI, service delivery, specification)
- Liquidity management: monitor and ensure healthy Free-Cash-Flow ratio;
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA/MBA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and their practical application.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel. S/4 HANA is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment – project management experience is an advantage.
- Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members.
