The Senior Accountant position is responsible for assisting with the Financial Monthly Close Process. This would include creating and approving journal entries, calculate, file and pay business taxes and implementing efficiencies where applicable.  The position is responsible for standardizing and documenting processes as well and implementing internal controls for accounting and assist the Controller with internal controls for invoicing.

The Senior Accountant is expected to be a critical thinker, have good communication skills, have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. As part of a company wide transformation, the Senior Accountant will play a role in a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation beginning FY2024.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Prepare financial journal entries
  • Calculate, File and Pay Business Taxes
  • Responsible for all assigned General Ledger financial reconciliations
  • Assist with audits
  • Assist with the controls for the New ERP implementation
  • Standardize and Document Processes
  • Support a monthly calendar of all Accounting activities
  • Assist the Controller in establishing best practice internal controls for Accounting Functions
  • Other duties may be assigned by the CFO or Controller


Minimum qualifications:  

  • BS/BA in accounting/finance or relative field
  • A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience
  • Good understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting practices
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Perform under minimal supervision
  • Understanding of internal controls for the accounting function
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Understanding of internal controls for the accounting function 


Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay bands of $80,000 - $100,000 / Annually
