YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the accounting activities for our Dutch market. The role is based in Belgium and is part of the Benelux finance team.
Location: Pernod Ricard Belgium. (Brussels)
Reports to: CFO
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with statutory law, tax and financial regulations, as well as internal control requirements for Pernod Ricard Nederland B.V. and six holding entities.
Manage the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in Navision, as well as Group reporting in Tagetik (Intercos and Balance Sheet reporting in IFRS).
Collaborate with the team to continue the balance sheet cleanup in preparation for the JDE migration.
Prepare and submit all reports required by finance and tax authorities (VAT, Intrastat, Dutch National Bank, etc.) for Pernod Ricard Nederland B.V. and six holding entities.
Act as local support contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with their requirements.
Act as a key business partner for other departments, providing support and expertise as needed.
Provide backup support to team members (e.g., Accounts Payable) when required.
Optimize cash management by monitoring local cash, factoring programs, Group netting, and cash pooling operations. Provide regular cash forecasts.
Actively support the Benelux accounting transformation roadmap:
Play a key role in testing and implementing the new ERP system.
Drive continuous improvements, efficiency, and cost savings.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
5-7 years of professional experience in accounting/finance/tax.
Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS standards.
Advanced IT skills; Navision or JDE experience is desirable.
Excellent written and spoken Dutch; proficiency in English required. Knowledge of French is a plus.
