We’re looking for a Senior Accountant – Intercompany to join our ever-evolving Corporate Accounting Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial reporting across a complex multinational organization. You will drive the intercompany accounting process, support global multi-currency operations, and collaborate with teams around the world to improve processes, strengthen controls, and deliver reliable financial insights that support business growth and Global Payments’ continued success. 

What you'll own

  • Drive accurate and timely intercompany accounting outcomes by owning transaction matching, settlements, eliminations, and reconciliations across global entities, ensuring the integrity of consolidated financial results.

  • Strengthen global financial reporting through the execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities that support compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and organizational standards.

  • Identify and resolve complex accounting discrepancies by conducting root cause analysis, partnering with stakeholders, and implementing sustainable solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Influence process improvement and operational excellence by enhancing intercompany controls, standardizing practices, and supporting automation initiatives that reduce risk and improve scalability.

  • Partner across global finance functions to align accounting activities, support multi-currency environments, and provide reliable financial information that enables informed business decisions.

What you'll bring

  • 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with intercompany accounting, reconciliations, consolidations, or multi-entity accounting environments.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles within multinational and multi-currency organizations.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify issues, and drive effective resolutions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships across global teams and functions.

  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

It's a bonus if you have

  • Experience with foreign currency accounting, including remeasurement, translation, and cumulative translation adjustment (CTA) analysis.

  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle or SAP and intercompany reconciliation tools such as BlackLine or Trintech.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress toward certification.
