The Senior Accountant - Incentive Compensation is responsible for administering, calculating, analyzing, and reporting employee incentive compensation programs. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in incentive payments while partnering with Talent, Payroll, and operational leaders to support business objectives.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles, with working knowledge of GAAP preferred. They possess advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques to support decision-making. This individual is highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all aspects of their work. They bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is highly valued.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience: 2–5 years of accounting, compensation, or financial analysis experience.

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calculates and administers incentive compensation payments, including incentives and other forms of variable pay.
  • Partners with Talent to maintain and validate compensation plans, ensuring alignment with company policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Talent to analyze compensation data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Reconciles compensation-related accounts and ensure accurate accounting treatment and financial reporting.
  • Works closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate distribution of employee payments.
  • Prepares and records journal entries, accruals, and support month-end close processes related to incentive compensation.
  • Assists with audits by providing supporting documentation and clear explanations of compensation calculations and processes.
  • Oversees the approval process and responds to inquiries related to incentive payouts and calculation methodologies.
  • Supports financial planning through budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing the impact of compensation on financial statements.
  • Creates and maintains reports, dashboards, and tracking tools to monitor and analyze compensation metrics.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
