The Senior Accountant I - supports the accounting and reporting of the Company by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Executes complex tasks with a strong understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and controls.
- Analyzes data, identifies trends, and provides insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Reviews and reconciles information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices
- Assists in preparing and reviewing reports, ensuring clarity, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and skill development.
Role Specific Accountabilities:
- Prepares various journals, account reconciliations, and monthly reports
- Supports monthly close and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
- Assists in the preparation and analysis of results, including identification of key drivers versus plan, projection, and prior year.
- Participates in special projects as requested.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- Relevant education, certifications, and/or equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of work experience in Accounting or related field
- Experience gained thru college degree or certifications is applicable to above skills.
