The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general accounting in areas requiring judgment and estimation, and involves ongoing collaboration with cross-functional business partners. The role will also drive continuous process and productivity improvements by leveraging existing systems’ capabilities and implementing automation. On an ad hoc basis, the role will executes analytics for business initiatives may provide direction to other accounting teammates. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently performs general accounting activities for the monthly financial statement close, bi-weekly forecast, and annual budget processes. Activities require a high-level of insight and depth of understanding.

• Assists with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, financial statement analytics, and earnings call support. Interacts with both internal and external auditors as support is needed, and provides direction to Accounting teammates.

• Effectively collaborates with cross-functional business partners to source relevant data needed, understand business drivers that cause variances to expectations, size future financial risks and opportunities and communicate the results of financial analyses.

• Drive process and productivity improvements within Accounting, to liberate time for reinvestment in analytics and business support. Leverage existing systems and new solutions such as Alteryx and UI Path.

• Conducts ad hoc analysis and develops nonstandard reports and statements as needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred; CPA is a plus

• 5-7 years’ experience, public accounting experience is a plus

• Process improvements/automation experience is a plus

• Experience working with Peoplesoft and Hyperion
