Core Responsibilities
- Performing month-end closing activities, preparing journal entries, and maintaining general ledger records for assigned entities
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including supporting explanations, following up on outstanding balances, and taking corrective actions where needed
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls in line with LEGO guidelines and local tax and accounting legislation
- Supporting Team Leaders and FBP Controllers with ad hoc projects and analyses
- Understanding partner needs and providing high-quality financial support
- Supporting all audit-related activities, including internal audits, statutory audits, and tax audits
- Consistently adhering to company policies, accounting standards, and global processes
This is a temporary 18-month role located in Prague – Jinonice. Relocation assistance is not provided.

The LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) is a shared service center delivering HR and Finance services to the entire LEGO Group from three locations: Monterrey, Prague, and Singapore!
The General Ledger (GL) department interacts with a broad range of stakeholders across the LEGO organization and plays a vital role within BSO in supporting the EMEA region. The team is responsible for the compliant handling of the general ledger and related activities, requiring close collaboration with both internal and external partners.
Do you have what it takes?
- Professional working experience in a related financial role or a position with transferable capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with a detail and quality-oriented mindset
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to embrace change and a proactive “can-do” attitude
- Personal drive and initiative, with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build trust and credibility with business partners
- Experience with SAP, Excel and Blackline
- Microsoft Excel at an experienced level
- Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage
- SAP4Hana experience is an advantage
