HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
As a General Ledger Accountant at Specialized, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the operational efficiency of the finance team. You will:
- Lead and participate in global financial statement close processes, adhering to the monthly close schedule.
- Oversee critical accounting functions, including:
- Maintaining fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules. Prepare the fixed asset roll-forward report.
- Monitoring monthly cash activity, ensuring accurate transactions, and preparing bank reconciliations. Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues identified during reconciliations.
- Managing the prepaid schedule and amortization tracking.
- Collaborate with product managers to set and maintain standard costs for bikes, equipment, and other products.
- Communicate global price lists across international markets.
- Analyze and explain monthly and annual overhead costing variances to key stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend improvements to the accounting processes and procedures.
- Support the annual financial audit as required.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- At least 6 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger functions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A passion for accuracy, process improvement, and collaboration.
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and development.

Pay
Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:
California Base Pay Range: ($26-43/hr)
*At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
