The Role
Lead day-to-day general accounting including month-end close, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Supervise general accounting team, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports, support internal and external audits, assist tax filings, manage fixed assets and IFRS ECL provisions, and use SAP/ERP and Excel for reporting and analyses.

On behalf of our client we are looking for a Senior Accountant
– General to join our client’s company in Riyadh.
- Handling
accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness to include
auditing master records and transactional data.
- Responsible
for the day-to-day accounting functions
- Monthly
review of general ledger for month end close to ensure transactions are
properly recorded for financial statement preparation.
- Recommends,
reviews, and monitors compliance with financial policies, procedures, and
controls.
- Prepares,
monitors, and interprets monthly financial reports and analyses.
- Responsible
for all supervisory duties of the General Accounting
- Assist in the
completion of the agency’s independent audit.
- Prepares and
oversees preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Executing
accounting data to internal tax accountant as necessary for corporate income
tax filings.
- Review and
approve bank reconciliations, intra-company reconciliations, and other
month-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Review and
approve journal entries to ensure proper general ledger and closing.
- Perform
month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
- Maintain
general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
- Generate and
distribute account management reports and Financial Statements on a monthly,
quarterly, and annual basis.
- Perform
accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables,
reconciliations, and foreign exchange.
- Support
Auditor in conducting internal and external audits.
- Assist in tax
preparation and filing activities.
- Perform
accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
- Provide
support for internal and external audits.
- Process,
review, and monitors Expected Credit Losses Provisions (ECL) as per the IFRS.
- Monthly
review of the fixed assets registers and all transactions (Addition,
retirement, depreciation, etc) are properly recorded for financial statement
preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting
- At least 5-year experience in
General Accountant
- Excellent Level in Microsoft
Excel.
- Excellent Level in Other Microsoft
Office products.
- SAP and other ERPs.
