Job Description
What we are looking for:
An energetic and ambitious CA/CPA/CMA with 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, who aims to build a career in Corporate Accounting. You will have the opportunity to learn alongside best-in-class professionals, in a role that will grow as you develop and are able to take on increased responsibility.
Excellent task prioritization and organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to cope with complexity in a fast-paced environment.
What you get to do in this role:
Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting:
- Month-End/Quarter-End Close: Manage the preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Journals & Adjustments: Prepare and review accruals, prepaids, amortization, benefits, payroll, and other necessary journal entries.
- Fixed Assets Accounting: Oversee fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Ensure proper accounting treatment for capital project costs in accordance with US GAAP.
- Intercompany Accounting: Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across global entities.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of cash transactions and balances.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform detailed account reconciliations for Capex, PPD, Leases, Accruals & Other BS GLs and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Variance Analysis: Prepare the flux commentaries for MoM, QoQ & YoY.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to SOX controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Audit Support: Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits, addressing queries and ensuring timely completion of audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation and implement those improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and accounting processes.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Business, and other teams to ensure the integrity and completeness of financial data.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Support various finance projects, system implementations, and initiatives to optimize accounting processes and systems.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an accounting center of excellence for a US MNC managing close for AMER, EMEA & APAC region.
- CA, CPA, CMA, and bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively across time zones/geographies with key stakeholders. Experience working in a matrix organization would be an advantage.
- A working knowledge of SAP is a must.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to question, execute, and proactively follow up
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
