Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
- Assist with GST/HST filings, payroll taxes, and other routine submissions.
- Support basic tax planning to help reduce tax liabilities.
- Stay updated with Canadian tax rules and regulations.
- Review financial data to ensure accurate tax calculations.
- Handle basic tax notices and communicate with authorities when needed.
- Use accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, and CaseWare.
- Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare financial reports.
- Coordinate with the team to complete tasks on time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Canadian taxation & accounting
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance
- Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle, or similar software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal)
