This is a remote position.
Take the next step in your Australian accounting career with a stable, long-term WFH role offering ₱90,000–₱105,000 per month, Day 1 HMO, complete equipment and genuine opportunities to develop your technical and review experience.
You’ll take ownership of Australian tax and accounting files across individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts—preparing income tax returns, financial statements, EOFY workpapers and tax reconciliations to a high standard for review and lodgement.
This is an opportunity to move beyond high-volume return preparation. You’ll develop broader exposure to company tax, franking accounts, dividends, balance-sheet investigation and the differences between accounting profit and taxable income. You’ll also support junior team members by answering technical questions, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
You’ll be trusted to manage your assigned work independently, while remaining part of an established team with ongoing training, coaching and professional support.
What you'll do
• Prepare Australian income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts
• Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers, ready for review and lodgement
• Review bookkeeping files, identify issues and make corrections where required
• Manage EOFY adjustments — accruals, prepayments, depreciation, loan reconciliations and other year-end journals
• Apply company tax knowledge, including franking accounts, dividends and related adjustments
• Review balance sheet accounts and investigate unreconciled or unusual balances
• Reconcile accounting profit against taxable income
• Review junior team members' work, answer technical questions and support their development
• Manage your own client workload independently, end to end
Requirements
You’ll be a strong fit if you already have:
• At least 3 years of experience preparing Australian income tax returns and financial statements
• Hands-on experience across multiple entity types — individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts
• Sound understanding of company tax, including franking accounts and dividend adjustments
• Experience preparing EOFY adjustments and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Experience preparing tax reconciliations and explaining differences between accounting profit and taxable income
• Confidence reviewing others' work and giving clear, constructive feedback
• Strong attention to detail and the judgement to know when something needs a second look
Preferred
• Experience with cloud accounting or Australian tax lodgement software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, HandiTax)
• Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior accountants
