Responsible for maintaining fixed asset system and lease accounting systems. Assists with general accounting functions including month end close, journal entries, financial statements preparation, general ledger account reconciliations, and bank account reconciliations.
Essential Job Responsibilities__________________________________
1. Maintains fixed asset accounting system, including but not limited to putting new assets in service, running depreciation, retiring assets, and construction in process. Responsible for processing fixed asset related month end close entries.
2. Maintains lease accounting system, including but not limited to putting new lessee agreements on the system, running monthly reports and updating lease information as necessary. Responsible for processing lease related month end close entries.
3. Prepares journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and spreadsheets related to accounting operations work.
4. Provide necessary financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Provides support to other accounting operations staff, including Accounting Operations Manager.
6. Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments.
7. Assists in compiling information for internal auditors, external auditors or examiners as requested.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications___________________________
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred and a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of equivalent experience in accounting related positions.
2. Experience with financial operations systems is preferred.
3. Proficiency in the following: typing, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, reading, writing and grammar skills, analytical or mathematical skills, and communications and interpersonal relations are required.
