The opportunity for U
We’re now looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team in a three month contract. Working In a collaborative team, you’ll be responsible for accounting, tax, and ensuring compliance with GBST policies and standards, as well as all relevant local statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure timely and accurate processing of revenue recognition under AASB 15
Investigate variances in ARR and services revenue on a monthly and YTD basis by project and client, and provide clear insights into the key drivers
Prepare and submit annual FBT statements
Support Income Tax and tax effect accounting calculations for the group
Collaborate with the team to share knowledge, recognise achievements, and build strong, effective working relationships
Communicate information and insights clearly and confidently to the team
This role is ideal for a CA/CPA qualified candidate with 5+ years of experience. You'll have developed strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders at a professional level. Additionally, you'll have the demonstrated technical skill set in the following areas:
• AASB 15 experience—accounting for revenue from contracts with customers
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data
• Fixed asset accounting
• Tax reporting, including Income Tax, FBT, GST & R&D claims

Skills Required
