We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a key role for a highly skilled accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can work independently, support executive leadership, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial data.
Wage: $75,000–$90,000/year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Hybrid)
What You'll Do- Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process.
- Perform complex general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analysis for executive leadership.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational accounting policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Manage fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other complex accounting functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Mentor and support members of the accounting team as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive senior-level accounting experience.
- Expert-level experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Extensive experience with complex account reconciliations and general ledger accounting.
- Strong background creating ad hoc financial reports for executive leadership.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex financial formulas.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and confidently to leadership.
- CPA designation.
- Healthcare, senior living, or nonprofit accounting experience.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and audit preparation.
- Proven ability to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiencies.
