Responsibilities:
- Play a major role in driving the research, planning, development and execution of comprehensive integrated communications and marketing events campaigns.
- Build trusted client relationships, rooted in open dialogue, mutual understanding and respect; serve as client lead, providing daily strategic counsel and ensuring quality execution that aligns with each client’s business goals.
- Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies across PR, digital/social, influencer, creative, with knowledge of traditional advertising mediums, such as TV, print, brochures, OOH, etc.
- Serve as the brand steward with internal stakeholders, ensuring program execution is on brand.
- Make sure the team's work is earned worthy at the core, with a focus on landing headline leading earned coverage.
- Oversee quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence, including overseeing junior staff’s work products to ensure quality and consistency.
- Participate in cross-practice and cross-geographical teams to provide clients and prospects with the most compelling team and proposal.
- Manage your team's performance as it relates to client service and quality control, recommending appropriate tactics to clients and internal team leads on project implementation.
- Effectively communicate and present recommendations and POVs to gain internal and client alignment.
- Experience in an inter-agency team (IAT) environment – creative, digital, paid media, in-store etc. – and be able to lead and adapt creative solutions to fit those channels in collaboration with team and agency partners.
- Understand the value of earned programming and how “PR” has evolved and translates into today's complex media environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to evolve brands, promote them, garner attention, and drive consumer action.
- Experience generating both quick-turn creative solutions as well as longer term programming, demonstrating agility and flexibility in your approach.
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills across internal and client correspondence, communications plans, client presentations and press materials.
- Partnership with measurement and analytics team to set client program goals and manage execution against them.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to grow a team by way of motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and most importantly, leading by example.
- Experience managing up, down, and around while working with partners (internal & external), maximizing events and collaborations, as well as providing ongoing strategic client counsel.
- Show financial acumen and the ability to lead a profitable business and manage client budgets effectively.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills and ability to support a team in prioritizing deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in Communications and/or related fields.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience managing clients, including serving as day-to-day client contact, counseling clients on strategy, and pushing back when needed.
- A comprehensive understanding of your clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders (consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners, and other businesses/organizations, etc.) and ability to impart this knowledge to account team members.
- Proven ability to manage large projects on one or more sizable accounts.
- Experience managing teams, with the ability to delegate tactical assignments and accurately judge and edit the work of others.
- Understand how to work with Project Management as a fundamental partner to execute integrated campaign plans.
- Ability to oversee budgets and staffing plans.
- Proven level of comfortability with tight timelines.
- Familiarity with best-practice communications tactics and public relations tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Regular travel is expected to support client engagement, business development, and strategic initiatives.
