Senior Account Manager

Purpose
The Sr. Account Manager will manage a customer base while contributing to and assisting the Director, Sales in leading business development and commercial activities. Responsible for identifying and developing profitable opportunities, interacting with the customers to gather market information, fostering a positive work environment, developing both the long and short-range forecasts to aid in operational and financial planning and relationship building with customers throughout the defined territory. The Position exists to provide field interface with existing and prospective customers, building relationships, providing pricing, soliciting orders and helping our customers grow their business.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide field interface with existing and prospective customers establishing and implementing product and technical strategies, building relationships and helping our customers grow their business. Provide and extract market intelligence during all calls with customer base.
- Provide service levels that exceed customer expectations throughout the life of the order with order review and contact with customer
- Employ sound risk management principles to meet or exceed profitability expectations
- Serve as main contact for customers identifying innovative solutions which includes the development and continuance of effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and provide pricing, solicit orders and review for accuracy all orders input by customer service representative.
- Prepare (3) month rolling forecast with input from customer and customer service representative.
- Review forecast with customers on a monthly basis and review open orders on a weekly basis for accuracy. Track shipments by month and annual to review with account
- Provide information on account or territory as needed by Director, Sales or Steelscape GM. Post call reports and market intelligence in Teams Frequently. Support and be an extension of sales leadership.

Skills & Competencies

Education & Experience Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years relevant experience as an Account Manager
- Experience developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Knowledge of raw materials with an emphasis on Steel.
- Knowledge of metal building components and end uses.
- Experience with Vendor relationships.
- Ability to read and understand Economic Reports
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction, Engineering
- Experience with Steelscape and/or related products
Salary Range: The expected pay scale for this role is $123,000 - 142,000 annually, depending on experience, skill set, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a targeted annual bonus of 20%, Fuel Card, Car Allowance, health and welfare benefits and 401(k) match in accordance with BlueScope policies.
