The Senior Account Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing strong external customer relationships. This responsibility includes maintaining stable customer relationships, achieving growth on existing accounts and ensuring world-class work. You are expected to be the cross-functional team leader and manage medium to large scale accounts or multiple accounts.

This position is part of the Commercial Team located in Malaysia and will be position is remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be report to the Country leader. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the primary operational point of contact for assigned Malaysia customers, by promoting the products, providing sales quotation, new information, monitoring of reagent usage etc.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Translate customer needs into business requirements, coordinate with project teams on required deliverables, and proactively manage customer expectations.
  • Participate actively in sales calls and bid reviews, demonstrating excellent sales and closing skills.
  • Develop and manage internal relationships, earning the respect of colleagues at all levels across the business ensuring a cohesive internal structure.
  • Work collaboratively with both cross functional team and Channel Partners on opportunities / accounts and sales support teams to win key opportunities.
  •  Provide primary post-sales general and/or technical support to the direct customer and channel partners and ensure growth of business in the assigned territories

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education – Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Biomedical Science or other Science disciplines
  • Experience – Minimum of 5-7 years of field experience in Medical related sales experience. IVD experience will have preference.
  • Experience of working in highly competitive environments and constantly improving within broadly practices and policies to achieve sales targets. Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, strong presentation skills, both externally to prospective clients and internally to upper management
  • Ability to prioritize work in a complex, fast-paced environment

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – list specifics 40 % travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Key Account Management or Strategic Account Management
  • Conduct Product Presentation to customers
  • Project Management Experience for Instrument Implementation
