About Beauhurst

We are building the leading provider of private company data in Europe.

Private companies represent 80% of private sector employment and over 90% of revenues across Europe. They are the backbone of our economy – creating jobs, driving innovation, and generating the tax receipts that enable government services. Yet finding, collecting, and understanding information about private companies remains a significant challenge.

We bridge this gap by providing our customers with comprehensive, up-to-date private company information. Our online platforms and API help our clients to discover, track and understand these companies. This empowers them to take informed action, whether they're offering services or funding to help companies grow, crafting supportive policies, or making better decisions through deeper understanding of the economic landscape.

We work with venture capital firms, big financial institutions, leading universities and the Government to help them find and work with companies that drive disruption and innovation across the economy. Joining as an Account Manager means you’ll get exposure to all of these worlds and build a network across some of the most interesting organisations in the UK and beyond.

The Role

We’re growing rapidly and our client base is growing just as fast. As a result, we have some HUGE commercial opportunities just sitting in the book. We need someone who can help us uncover this value by building great relationships with some of our most exciting clients (think government departments, local governments and the biggest accountancy firms & banks). Working with dozens of different industries, all with a unique use case, so you’ll become an expert on the industries and take a highly personalised, intelligent approach to each subscriber.

More specifically, your day to day responsibilities will include:

Maximising value: working closely with our Client Experience team to manage the retention of our largest subscribers, negotiating high value renewals, and pitching forward-looking multi-year deals to help the team hit target.

Growing accounts (upsells): proactively identifying opportunities for value growth by mapping accounts for expansion through both cross-sells and up-sells.

Setting account strategy: working closely with key decision makers to understand their goals, and regularly setting realistic account strategies to achieve these.

Managing projects: improve commercial performance by getting stuck into internal projects, both as a project manager and star contributor.

About you

As a minimum, you should have

  • 3 years’ experience managing your own book of clients (in Account Management or similar capacity) including both retaining and growing accounts
  • Proven experience hitting/exceeding commercial targets
  • Worked in a relevant company that bears some resemblance to Beauhurst – whether it be B2B SaaS firm, or a company/financial data business
  • A strong academic track record

Ideally, you’ll be:

  • Curious and coachable: Interested in both people and their problems. Keen to continually develop their own skills and through feedback and learning from their mistakes.
  • Tenacious and competitive: Highly resilient and willing to explore multiple avenues to help retain and expand subscribers, and is motivated to always try and hit target
  • Bright/intelligent – you’ll be sharp with numbers, a strong communicator and both intellectually and emotionally intelligent
Our offer

We invest a lot in keeping our people happy and healthy, so along with a competitve salary, here's what you'll also get:

💰 A stake in the company: This is huge - everything you do will create value in the company that you will partly own

🩺 Healthcare: Our health cash plan will cover all of your day-to-day health and wellness needs
