We are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our Egypt Sales Team and serve as a strategic partner between GfK and our clients. The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts, driving revenue growth, and developing long-term client relationships.
This role requires a commercially driven professional with strong consultative sales skills, the ability to understand clients' business challenges, and a proven track record of identifying growth opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver client-centric solutions and achieve business objectives.
The Senior Account Manager will take ownership of account strategy, client engagement, revenue growth, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives across assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead a portfolio of strategic accounts on behalf of GfK.
- Achieve and exceed sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute account plans to drive sustainable business growth.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and act as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Understand clients' business strategies, organizational structures, and key commercial challenges.
- Identify new business opportunities, whitespace opportunities, and cross-selling initiatives within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and an exceptional client experience.
- Lead commercial discussions, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in account management, sales, business development, or client-facing commercial roles.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and sales targets.
- Experience within the Technology & Durables sector (Consumer Electronics, Telecom, Technology, or related industries).
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing senior client relationships and complex commercial discussions.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
