We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Hamilton, Bermuda. This position is onsite on a full-time basis.
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the daily management and accounting functions of a portfolio of clients that consist predominantly of (re)insurance entities including captives, Commercial Insurers and Segregated Account Companies. This managerial position provides financial monitoring and control and ensures regulatory compliance
We will count on you to:
Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
Perform technical reviews of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS
Coordinate timely and knowledgeable responses to accounting and regulatory inquires and requests from clients to ensure all financial and regulatory aspects of the clients are efficiently managed and clients maintain regulatory compliance
Manage audit and regulatory reporting
Partner on fee negotiations and management agreements.
Mentor colleagues with regard to adherence to company processes and procedures
Participate in client meetings including review and presentation of financial and regulatory information at those meetings.
What you need to have:
An internationally recognized professional accounting designation (e.g., ACCA, CA, or CPA) with a minimum of 8 years of recent insurance management experience, including building customer relationships in Account Management and/or Client Services roles.
Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in financial reporting under GAAP and IFRS (specifically IFRS17), including reporting for Segregated Account Companies and understanding the insurance regulatory environment.
Possess excellent knowledge of local regulations, procedures, insurance policy structures, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Capable of managing own workload effectively, working well under pressure both independently and as part of a team, and providing training to junior team members.
