As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for our carrier partners, representing The Zebra with expertise and strategic insight. You will own and manage each relationship from the start, ensuring a seamless experience while aligning expectations, strengthening carrier partnerships, and driving account growth. Success in this role requires a proactive, solution-oriented mindset—you thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt quickly, and craft strategic solutions tailored to each carrier partner’s needs.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Account Management, you will collaborate closely with sales agency, integrations, marketing, and data analytics teams to maximize carrier partner success and optimize business impact.

Location:

Our company headquarters are in Austin, TX, but our employees work remotely across the US. For folks who live around Austin, we offer the option to join us in our office or opt for hybrid setup. Whether you prefer the structure of an office, the convenience of remote work, or a mix of both, we support what works best for you!

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with enterprise partners across our platform’s product offerings.

  • Present growth opportunities and cross-sell additional products to enhance partner portfolios.

  • Set clear expectations with internal and external stakeholders around performance, budget, and growth while ensuring the successful delivery of solutions.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business lines, aligning with company monetization goals.

  • Track and analyze key account metrics in collaboration with the analytics team.

  • Utilize data tools like Excel and Looker to identify performance gaps and drive improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering to address partner needs and optimize engagement.

  • Respond promptly to urgent internal and external stakeholder issues, ensuring seamless communication.

  • Provide regular updates on client portfolio performance to the executive team.

  • Mentor fellow account managers, sharing best practices, and provide guidance on complex challenges.

 
What We're Looking For:

As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

  • 3+ years of account management, business development, or partner management experience, preferably in the insurance or insurtech industry.

  • Digital marketing, including familiarity with performance marketing strategies, audience targeting, and analytics.

  • Strong understanding of insurance carriers, products, and distribution models.

  • Proven ability to manage complex relationships and drive strategic initiatives with external partners.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align on goals and execute projects.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities effectively.

 
Experience that will Impress the Heck Out of Us:
  • Well-versed with data visualization tools (i.e. Looker or Tableau).

  • Digital marketing experience within the insurance or financial sectors.

  • Experience in putting together regular account reviews and business proposals

The target base salary for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 with OTE of $100,000. This role will have a 70%/30% base/variable target. The final salary amount will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, and insights gained throughout the interview process.
