About the Role:

We are seeking a very dynamic and driven Senior Account Manager interested in further developing and driving our flavors and functional food ingredients on the East Coast. This position will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing account relationships, as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities to support our growth objectives. This includes revenue & GM management, cross-team collaboration, and project management.

What you'll be doing:

  • Account Management: Influence customer account planning and comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition data. Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans.
  • Negotiate and Collaborate: Manage commercial projects in collaboration with Flavor Creation and Application. Ensure visibility and exposure with customers by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with essential product demonstrations and technical to technical interface. Follow up on customer submissions and manage wins through to production and launch. Collaborate with Finance on pricing agreements.
  • Business Development: Grow our business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities. Cultivate customer intimacy and relationships with important decision-makers, positioning us as preferred supplier and ensuring we are positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core supplier lists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferable
  • 6+ years experience in sales, marketing or customer relationship role in food or desire to related industry
  • Experience with the flavor, food, and beverage industries
  • Drive and ambition.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Knowledge of customer strategies, projects, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity
