We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate and Commercial team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in our Darwin office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days in the office.

This role will assist senior team members in all aspects of client servicing including managing client portfolios, administration, technical support and business development.

This presents as a unique opportunity for an experienced Insurance Broker to take the next step in their career. Joining our Darwin Branch will offer the the chance to become a good technical broker who focuses on finding solutions for clients. This role will assist senior team members in all aspects of client servicing including managing client portfolios, administration, technical support and business development.

We will count on you to:

  • Effectively advise, manage and maintain a client portfolio of moderate to large accounts, by attending to outstanding renewals, credit control, and other necessary reporting over the client portfolio.

  • Take ownership of your own client revenue, budgets and have or be keen to develop a strong financial literacy, understanding financial targets and the financial reporting process.

  • Implement renewal and broking strategies based on client requirements to contribute to the retention/ growth of the client portfolio.

  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships by understanding their needs and proactively responding as a primary point of contact.

  • Contribute to growth of the business by actively seeking new and expanded business opportunities as well as building on strong relationships with key partners.

  • Be a team player. Drive collaboration and effectively engage with junior colleagues and within the broader Marsh segments to add value to clients.

  • Be innovative, look for new and better ways of completing tasks to deliver quality and results.

  • Experience managing small SME clients

  • Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry 

  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Motivation for client service and solutions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
