About the role:
We're hiring a seasoned Senior Account Director to join our award-winning in-house creative, content, and production agency dedicated to multinational alcohol and beverage brands. For this position, you will play a pivotal part in the running, growth and development of the Chicago team and ensuring the smooth running of projects through conception to completion. We’re looking for exceptional characters who want to play a key part in an award-winning agency pushing business growth and overseeing the smooth running of creative production from strategy and creative concepting, through briefing and production, to managing budgets and overseeing our talented team of Senior Account Managers and Account Executives.
Our Senior Account Director is primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients. As the senior point of contact for an agency’s customers, the Senior Account Director also coordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work. Often, you will be expected to plan campaigns and successfully develop business accounts creatively and financially.
This role is currently hybrid onsite 3 days a week in downtown Chicago.
What you will be doing:
- Help lead cross-functional teams made up of strategy, creative concepting and campaign development, visual design, copywriting, and production
- Direct and manage a team to provide the utmost level of client service
- Liaise with senior-level clients on a day-to-day basis and make other contacts that will strengthen the client relationship
- Promote the expansion of business with existing clients
- Work with the Business Director to generate new accounts and build existing accounts
- Develop sales proposals designed to meeting individual client needs that are not covered within scope
- Complete projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
- Using your skills to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically
- Negotiate expectations, terms, conditions of services with new clients
- Manage an account team, along with their growth and development
What you need to be great in this role:
- 10+ years of advertising agency experience in a professional client relationship management role
- 3+ years of experience in an Account Director role
- Thrive in a fast-pace, ever-changing environment focused on results and progress
- Solutions-oriented, upbeat, and a natural-born leader
- Exhibit a passion for digital creation and strategy for cross-channel solutions
- Ability to plan and strategize at a senior level
- Persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective team management capabilities
- Keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
- Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms and production
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $130,000.00 to $150,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
