Your Future Team

You will join Group R&D’s dynamic innovation hub - a team of around 150 highly skilled and passionate specialists from diverse backgrounds. Our collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Abatement Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and implementing air emission and abatement solutions.

You’ll provide deep subject matter expertise to project teams, lead key technical initiatives, and support the global rollout of state-of-the-art emission control technologies.

  • Serve as the technical lead for abatement and emission control projects - from concept to implementation.

  • Advise and collaborate with internal teams, project managers, and external partners.

  • Analyze, design, and optimize abatement systems to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

  • Participate actively in on-site assessments and project implementation across ROCKWOOL’s facilities.

  • Deliver technical guidance and training to colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Engage with stakeholders from R&D, testing labs, production, and other departments to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Expect 40-60 days of travel annually, mainly within Europe, as you oversee and support projects at our factories.

What You Bring

  • Significant hands-on experience with industrial emission control and/or catalytic abatement systems.

  • Advanced degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental engineering, or a related field.

  • A solid track record of leading or providing specialist input to complex technical projects in industrial settings.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose and implement innovative abatement solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills - you can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams

  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments and navigating technical uncertainty.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
