We are inviting qualified candidates to join our 3D team based remotely in our Asia locations such as Philippines, Thailand or Malaysia.
The Senior 3D Artist is responsible for producing CGI renders to customer specification in a timely and profitable manner, in accordance with standard working practices (SWP). The Senior 3D Artist will support the activities (day to day and development) of all individuals working within the designated area of responsibility.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Adhere to all standard working practices (SWP) and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Perform pre-flight checks on received design files.
- Create complex CGI renders and perform amends to existing CGI renders as per customer requirements.
- Create 3D renders and apply artwork to existing 2D renders.
- Apply shadows and highlights to achieve 3 dimensional depth on 2D models.
- Create full spectrum of CGI models/renders from simple (carton) to complex (organic shapes).
- Create CGI models from scans using retopology techniques.
- Add variants to existing CGI models.
- Apply lighting and texturing to the full spectrum of CGI models in complex environments.
- Create full spectrum of movies/animations.
- Create snap shots of products within a controlled environment to use as reference for colours and materials. Import and edit images.
- Retouch images.
- Use of 3D scanner to produce highly detailed 3D scans for modelling.
- Thoroughly check their work to ensure that the minimum right first time of 90% is achieved.
- Manager their schedule to ensure agreed turnaround times are achieved. Liaise with the Client Service Team if they fall behind schedule.
- Train, mentor and support apprentice/junior and 3D artists in accordance with customer account requirements and standard working practices.
- Identify and raise issues effectively with relevant customer specific team members and process managers when necessary.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Make recommendations for CGI improvements.
- When necessary, attend customer meetings.
- Support Operation Management team through the investigation of process improvements.
- Undertake root cause and corrective action investigations and provide guidance to relevant individuals/team.
- Perform range checks.
