This is a Fully Remote U.S. Position.
NOTE: Maximum range is provided as an example of the wage/salary range for each position and its earning capacity given factors such as time in position, longevity with the company education level, and performance experience. Newly entering employees should expect to enter at the minimum to midrange level, and not the cap which is for employees with tenure and above level skill sets in that position.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Seller Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting and enhancing seller performance on ShopGoodwill.com. This includes developing best practice resources, delivering training, supporting agency growth, and serving as a liaison between sellers and the ShopGoodwill.com team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TRAINING & DOCUMENTATION
Collaborate with the Seller Engagement & Operations Manager & Senior Director to create and maintain the best practice documentation and instructional materials for SGWEDU and agency visits. Upload content and manage reporting within SGWEDU. Review and finalize training materials independently and in collaboration with team members. Regularly update training materials to reflect new standards, tools, or feedback.
SELLER SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT
Conduct site visits with sellers to assess operations, share insights, and gather best practices. Provide detailed recaps following trainings and site visits. Track and analyze the outcomes of training and support efforts. Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
AGENCY ENGAGEMENT & GROWTH
Market ShopGoodwill.com services to Goodwill agencies interested in launching, expanding, or scaling e-commerce operations. Assist Seller Engagement & Operations Manager with onboarding new sellers and guiding them through operational setup. Maintain and update seller contact lists and engagement trackers. Follow up with agencies regarding prohibited items, shipping timeliness, and policy adherence. Assist with floor plan development, program resets, and webinar planning. Partner with sellers and the Marketing team to elevate mission stories and brand awareness.
ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL
Report regularly on seller support activities and business development projects. Assist in planning and attending the annual Seller Summit and relevant events. Provide follow-up support through service calls, emails, or additional training. Maintain accurate and organized records to support departmental functions. Safeguard company property and act safely in all job functions. Promote teamwork by sharing knowledge and collaborating with team members. Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and strong interpersonal communication.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in e-commerce or training. Strong knowledge of e-commerce operations and challenges. Must have an understanding or ability to quickly learn and stay up to date with other marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Shopify, etc. Ability to solve problems and provide consistent approach from agency to agency. Up to 40% of travel is required. Due to travel requirements, employees must maintain availability within proximity of a major commercial airport that offers regular domestic flight service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Access to reliable secure Wi-Fi when working remotely. Valid driver’s license, liability insurance and a DMV record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company, if using personal vehicle.
