The Security Supervisor assists in protecting, safeguarding, and securing the North Fork Mono Casino & Resort's assets, Team Members, Guests, and visitors during assigned shifts. The Security Supervisor partners with the Security Manager to develop and enforce security policies and procedures and acts as the department leader during the Manager's absence. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

 Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and Team Member concerns and questions.
  • Provide emergency first aid or CPR when necessary.
  • Responsible for the protection of North Fork Mono Casino & Resort gaming assets and property, as well as protecting the life of those that work, do business with and visit the casino.
  • Supervise, plan and schedule security activities for the department as directed by management.
  • Assign work to Security Officers and EMTs and establish priorities.
  • Train, inspect and evaluate Security Officers, Lot Patrol Officers, and EMTs for alertness, appearance, and proper performance while on duty and correct deficiencies.
  • Assist in hiring, training, counseling and evaluation of department Team Members.
  • Respond to all non‐routine incidents in a supervisory capacity ensuring appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
  • Supervise and evaluate security reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated and appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
  • Maintain clear and open communication upward, downward and laterally as appropriate.
  • Conduct follow‐up investigations on reports as directed.
  • Ensures all Team Members are complying with Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), policies, and procedures.
  • In the event of a life-threatening fire, shooting, flood or other disaster, coordinate the emergency activities including notification of police, fire, Security Director and General Manager until the arrival of responsible fire/police department or executive.
  • May be required to assume the same duties and responsibilities as listed in the Security Officer's job description as needed.
  • Provide and create a Guest experience that exceeds Guest expectations and builds loyalty.
  • Practice excellent grooming and uniform standards.
  • Give full attention to Guest opportunities and take ownership of these opportunities to ensure Guest satisfaction.
  • Help oversee lost and found protocols to ensure accurate documentation and guest satisfaction.
  • May need to testify in court while on or off duty.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Knowledge in security, investigation, loss prevention, safety awareness and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, and to handle sensitive situations with tact.
  • Excellent guest service skills, and the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, guests, and Team Members.
  • Ability to perform interviews and interrogations.
  • Ability to pass firearm safety, handling, and shooting techniques. Able to obtain a BSIS firearms licensing and keep in compliance with State and Tribal firearms laws.
  • Ability to pass the qualifications for OC Spray, Baton, and Handcuffing techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High degree of integrity in performing job duties.
  • Ability and experience to supervise and develop staff talents to enhance teamwork, and Company image.
  • Ability to use office equipment with strong skills in Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, private security, military, and/or other comparable experience required, with one (1) year in a supervisory level position preferred.
  • Casino security experience preferred.
  • Registered with California BSIS required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Ability to pass firearms qualification and obtain an Exposed Firearms License from BSIS required (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of firearms experience preferred.
  • Current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Current RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Valid California driver’s license and insurability required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. with or without assistance.
Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is performed outdoors and can involve continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, sunlight, wet surfaces and noise.
