Responsibilities

As The Security Specialist - Industrial, you will:

  • Protect classified work performed by industry partners through contract-security documentation, contractor coordination, facility-related oversight, and compliance review.
  • Support the Government client in defining and monitoring safeguarding obligations associated with classified contractual performance.
  • Develop and review security classification and contract-security documentation, coordinateswith contractor security representatives, and support inspections or assessments involving facilities, personnel, records, and classified deliverables.
  • By identifying gaps, documenting required corrective actions, and maintaining clear communication between Government and industry, the Security Specialist Industrial helps ensure that contractors understand and consistently execute applicable protection requirements throughout the life of classified work.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Review and maintain contract-security documentation that defines safeguarding, access, classification, and performance requirements.
  • Coordinate industrial-security matters with Government contracting personnel, program stakeholders, and contractor security representatives.
  • Evaluate contractor security practices, facility considerations, and classified performance activities for compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Support inspections, reviews, self-assessments, and corrective-action tracking involving industry partners and classified work.
  • Advise stakeholders on protection requirements affecting classified contracts, subcontracting, personnel access, and deliverables.
  • Maintain records of oversight activities, findings, correspondence, approvals, and completed corrective actions.
  • Identify industrial-security risks and recommend measures that protect classified information throughout contract execution.
  • Facilitate timely resolution of security issues that could affect contractor performance or authorized classified access.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and 10 years of directly relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline plus 14 years of directly related work experience.
  • Specialized experience with flag-officer level briefings and senior-level interface.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain Industrial Security Oversight Certification (CDSE) within one year of hire.
  • Experience must include support to Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information environments
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and lead a team in fast paced classified environments.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $132,500.00/Yr. - USD $221,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Skills Required
