We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Events & Logistics Lead to support our East Coast Security department at Collectors. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, flexibility to travel over weekends (at least two weekends per month), lead high-value asset transports (weekly trips from/to Jersey City, NJ; New York, NY, New Castle, DE), and robust communication skills to effectively coordinate with various team leads within a dynamic environment.

You will assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), performing site assessments, equipping shows, and supporting operational guidance to various stakeholders for events. This position involves significant collaboration, documentation, and the maintenance of rigorous standards in show Security planning and execution. The Security Events & Logistics Lead position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and efficiency of our high-profile trade shows and transport operations, ensuring the best possible Security practices are upheld.

You will report to our Security Events & Logistics Manager and work from our Jersey City, NJ office. This role is ideal for candidates located in or willing to travel to Jersey City, NJ. Hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

Travel of up to 70% is required to various event locations throughout North America. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Security Events & Logistics Manager in leading the events Security staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Extensive travel to be expected, with up to 70% of your duties involving off-site work.

  • Help maintain and update the Security team's show schedule.

  • Lead high-value transports to/from our Jersey City, NJ office. 

  • Assist in processing documentation for project commitments.

  • Support administrative deliverables such as scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, tracking project plans, budgets, and schedules.

  • Assist in creating, reviewing, editing, and formatting documentation and presentation materials.

  • Help maintain detailed records of cost expenditures.

  • Aid in training members of the show Security Team.

  • Organize, inventory, and distribute necessary Security event equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements at local trade shows.

  • Contribute to the Security team's efforts by accomplishing related duties as assigned.

  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting Collectors standards in customer service.

Who You Are:

  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong communicator with effective written and verbal skills.

  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure.

  • 2+ years of Security or related experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.).

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Valid passport. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting.

  • Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.

  • Exposure to Machinery: Exposure to machinery noise, which may include noise from forklifts, injection presses, or other machinery.

  • Hand Use: Power gripping when using low-precision, high-impact hand tools that require significant force, such as hammer drills and torque wrenches.

  • Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 75+ pounds, with employee help or with proper equipment.

  • Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Temperature and Humidity: Occasional exposure to warehouse environments without heating or cooling with fluctuations in temperatures and humidity.

  • Walking: Ability to walk for long periods.

Hourly Range: 

The hourly range for this position is $30-$32 Entry level operations positions generally start at an hourly rate of $17. Actual compensation in this range will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
