Job Description: Senior Engineer - OT security
We are seeking an experienced OT Security Consultant/Architect to join our global team supporting Industry 4.0 customers. This role will focus on delivering comprehensive OT security solutions from initial assessment through implementation and operational support. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in industrial control systems security, industry standards compliance, and implementing enterprise-grade security solutions utilizing leading technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Planning
- Conduct comprehensive OT security assessments including network architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, and security control evaluations
- Perform detailed gap and maturity assessments against industry frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIS 2, NERC CIP)
- Develop risk assessment methodologies specifically tailored for industrial environments
- Create detailed remediation roadmaps with prioritized security controls implementation plans
- Collaborate with customers to assess, implement, and maintain OT security controls, ensuring alignment with applicable OT security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Design secure OT network architectures with appropriate segmentation and defense-in-depth strategies
- Architect comprehensive OT security solutions leveraging best-of-breed platforms including Nozomi Networks, Claroty, Armis, and Cisco
- Implement secure remote access solutions for OT environments
- Configure and tune OT asset visibility and monitoring platforms
- Design industrial DMZs and secure data transfer mechanisms between IT and OT networks
Operation & Management
- Extensive experiences in Build and operation (24*7) SRA solution like Claroty, Zscaler etc..
- Develop security operations center (SOC) processes specific to OT/ICS environments
- Create incident response playbooks for industrial control systems
- Implement continuous monitoring solutions for industrial networks
- Provide guidance on secure system administration practices for OT environments
- Establish comprehensive vulnerability management processes for industrial systems
Client Management & Business Development
- Serve as a trusted security advisor to key industrial customers
- Document and present findings to technical and executive stakeholders
- Provide regular project status updates and risk reporting
- Identify opportunities for additional security services within client environments
- Support pre-sales activities and proposal development for OT security projects
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Max of 5-10 years of experience in IT/OT security, with at least 5 years specifically focused on industrial control systems security
- Deep knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following platforms: Claroty Nozomi Networks, Claroty, Armis, Cisco Cyber Vision
- Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence challenges and secure architecture design principles
- Good knowledge of relevant security standards and frameworks including IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NIS 2, and NERC CIP
- Experience conducting security assessments in industrial environments
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage complex security implementations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex security concepts to various audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- BachelorMaster's degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications such as GIAC GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, CISSP, CISM, or related certifications
- Experience with multiple industrial sectors (manufacturing, energy, utilities, oil & gas, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud security as it applies to industrial IoT implementations
- Experience with OT security monitoring integration with enterprise SOC operations
- Understanding of AI/ML applications in industrial cybersecurity
- Experience with DevSecOps practices for industrial applications
- Prior consulting experience in a global professional services organization
- Knowledge of global regulatory requirements for industrial security
Technical Knowledge Requirements
- Deep understanding of industrial control systems including PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, DCS
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and technologies
- Proficiency with OT visibility and security monitoring platforms
- Experience with industrial firewall and network segmentation technologies
- Knowledge of secure remote access solutions for industrial environments
- Understanding of vulnerability management challenges in OT environments
- Familiarity with ICS threat landscape and attack methodologies
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms
