What You'll Do:
- Monitor and respond to all building and campus alarm systems, including resident medical emergencies.
- Conduct temperature checks in boiler rooms and kitchens to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Remove resident trash from hallways and empty garbage, recycling, and soiled linen bins each shift.
- Patrol the campus, noting open garage doors, unlit post lights, and suspicious individuals or vehicles. Take appropriate action, including questioning individuals or contacting law enforcement.
- Support resident relations by addressing concerns promptly, maintaining communication with the Facilities Supervisor, and completing assigned special projects.
- Completes maintenance work orders and other maintenance tasks as requested.
What You'll Need:
- High school graduate or equivalent. (Required)
- One year of experience in general building maintenance with basic knowledge of heating and cooling systems. (Preferred)
- Must be able to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
- Good mobility necessary to perform security checks on all areas of buildings and grounds.
