Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and lead SoC analysts in our 24x7 Security Operations and Support Center (SOSC)
• Develop and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and our contractual SLAs.
• Prepare detailed reports from security tools and conduct root cause analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with technical leadership to manage issue escalations.
• Plan and track monthly patching procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with customers.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and dashboarding tools to maintain visibility into the health of the platform.
• Collaborate with Leadership to identify new revenue opportunities for the SoC department.

Primary Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a NOC/SOC environment.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
• 10+ years of technical experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management practices.
• Proficiency in using and managing security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team effectively.

Differentiators

• Familiarity with government compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and DISA.
• Experience working with Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSSPs).
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
• Hands-on experience with incident response and handling, including conducting post-incident reviews and developing improvement plans.
• Proven ability to implement and manage advanced threat detection technologies, such as intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).

Location

This role is offered as a hybrid position based out of our Sterling, VA office.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is between $145,000-$155,000 based on experience.
