Title: Security Officer
Pay: $18.00 per hour + shift differential, benefits, and perks
Job Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time and Part-Time
Schedule & Hours: Full-time 2nd Shift (2:45 PM - 10:45 PM). Full-time: 37.5 hours/week
Shift Differential: $0.25 per hour
Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Security Officer to join our team! This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff and community property. This includes, but is not limited to, providing security services and resident support as needed while ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled internal and external to maintain a secure environment for residents and community property.
- Conduct continuous patrols of property and facilities.
- Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency calls.
- Complete daily rounds and incident reports.
- Document incidents including accidents, theft, fires, serious mechanical malfunctions, emergency responses, and violations of rules and regulations.
- Supports gatehouse operations as needed, including logging visitors, residents and employees.
- Direct traffic on campus when necessary.
- Maintain a professional and calm presence during all situations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years of customer service experience required.
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
