Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and be able to respond to guest inquiries quickly.
  • Control access to the facility and particularly to sensitive areas.
  • Escort of patrons and assets.
  • Patrol of casino property.
  • Ability to conduct an incident investigation. 
  • Write reports and maintain a daily log.
  • Other assigned duties as required.
  • Provide First Aid and medical attention as required (If IFA certified)


What You Bring

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a security role.
  • Proven, high level of customer service.
  • Detail-oriented and organized nature.
  • Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sensitive in dealing with people and proactive in providing solutions.
  • Good judgment and understanding of casino operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Benefit from working flexible hours, evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of the Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training before start, OR the Basic Security Training (BST) and a valid BC Security License, then the completion of the Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training exam within 90 days of start.
  • Completion of Serving It Right.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques.
  • Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify people.
