License Requirement: Smart Serve Certificate and AGCO License (Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario)

OVERVIEW:

The Casino Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and property. This role monitors casino operations, patrols gaming and public areas, responds to incidents and emergencies, and enforces company policies, gaming regulations, and safety procedures. The Security Officer plays a key role in loss prevention, conflict resolution, and customer service while ensuring the integrity of casino operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong observation skills, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO)

  • Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the

  • Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if

  • Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise

  • Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious

  • Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency

  • Assist in maintaining proper key

  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.

  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and

  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics

  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPIERENCE, EDUCATION:

  • A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security preferred

  • Working knowledge of computer application packages

  • A current First Aid/CPR Certificate

  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to walk distances.

  • The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
