We’re looking for a Security Manager to join our Security team to maintain a safe and secure working environment at our locations in Plano, TX and Boca Raton, FL. This includes protecting all personnel, safeguarding all items in our custody, and controlling access to our facilities. This role is responsible for managing the security workforce; scheduling and overseeing their work; appraising their performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems within the department and outside.
You’ll report to the Head of Physical Security and work from our Plano, TX location.
Onsite Requirement:
This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week.
What You’ll Do:
Support locations in Plano, TX and Boca Raton, FL
Interview, hire, train and manage the security staff ensuring adherence to Company policies and procedures, overtime requests, and permits & licensing to ensure legal compliance
Oversee contracted security services and manage vendor performance
Respond on short notice at any time of the day or night when required
Maintain surveillance equipment and alarms, including access control systems and video monitoring systems, ensuring that they are operational and functioning as designed
Maintain physical key control for Operations & Corporate facilities
Act as a liaison between the Security team and other departments/stakeholders, informing upper management of problems or security issues and communicating with other department supervisors
Provide regular feedback to direct reports and conduct regular reviews of the Security Team in accordance with Company policy, fostering a team focused on growth, improvement, efficiency and respect
Carry out preliminary investigations into discrepancies at corporate offices and events while maintaining confidentiality and treating others with consideration irrespective of status or position
Who You Are:
5+ years of Corporate Security management experience, at least 10 years in the Security field in total
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Experience in physical security, access control systems, video systems, guest management, facility key systems, and fire life-safety
Strong Policy and procedure development required
Strong verbal and written communication, including an ability to understand and relay company policies/procedures.
Influential leader who can inspire/motivate others and effectively drive change within the department while forging strong relationships across the larger organization
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Security / Loss Prevention field
Experience in physical security, access control systems, video systems, guest management, facility key systems, and fire life-safety
Superior team management and planning/organizational skills; ability to remain flexible and develop and execute realistic action plans in an evolving environment
Physical Requirements:
Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting
Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time
Exposure to Machinery: Exposure to machinery noise, which may include noise from forklifts, injection presses, or other machinery
Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions
Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up 50 lbs
Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Temperature and Humidity: Occasional exposure to warehouse environments without heating or cooling with fluctuations in temperatures and humidity
Walking: Ability to walk for long periods
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
