We’re looking for a Security and Surveillance Infrastructure System Engineer to join our Corporate IT team to design, implement, and maintain the security and surveillance systems across our facilities. We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our assets, employees, and customers through state-of-the-art security and surveillance systems, and this role requires a deep understanding of security technologies, network infrastructure, and system integration to deliver the highest level of security and operational efficiency. This role requires approximately 30% travel, both domestic and international.


You’ll report to the Sr. Manager, Corporate IT and work from our Jersey City, NJ office.


What You’ll Do:

Design and Implementation

  • Design and develop security and surveillance system architectures, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
  • Implement and configure security systems to meet organizational requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security professionals to integrate security systems with the existing network infrastructure back-end.

Maintenance and Support

  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on security and surveillance systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems.
  • Actively monitor system performance and security alerts, responding promptly to any incidents.
  • Perform thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats.

Project Management

  • Lead and manage security infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure all security systems comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate proactively with other regions to establish a global standard and enhance workflows, statements of work, and related processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets for the security systems area.

Who You Are:

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in security system engineering, with a focus on surveillance and access control systems.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Proficient in Milestone and LenelS2, or equivalent systems.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including IP networking, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Experienced with security system software and hardware, such as Video Management Systems (VMS) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs).
  • Experienced with the build and support of servers, storage, and cloud computing for security systems.
  • Familiar with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid passport for domestic and international travel as needed.

Preferred

  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Platform certifications in Milestone and/or LenelS2.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $82,986 - $112,276. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set. This role may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation, please ask your recruiter for details.
