What's so exciting about this role?

We’re seeking an experienced Security Analyst to play a critical role within the organisation’s Cyber Security Program, helping protect information and technology assets in an increasingly complex threat landscape. This role offers the opportunity to work hands on with modern security technologies, tools, and frameworks, contributing directly to the organisation’s cyber resilience and risk posture. You will collaborate with cross functional teams, analyse threats, respond to incidents, and support continuous improvement of security controls.

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

• Monitor and respond to threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities across security tools and platforms.
• Investigate security incidents, support threat hunting, and enhance detection and response capabilities.
• Implement and optimise security tooling, configurations, and controls across systems and cloud environments.
• Support vulnerability management, security testing, DevSecOps, and external assurance activities.
• Contribute to risk assessments, audits, compliance requirements, and maintain security documentation.
• Produce operational security reporting and metrics.
• Collaborate with business units and vendors to uplift security maturity and support secure integrations.
• Participate in the 24/7 on‑call rotation as required.

We’re also looking for someone who brings:

• Strong experience in security operations, including SIEM, EDR, automation, and threat hunting.
• Confident in assessing threats, managing security incidents end to end, and working effectively with vendors and third party partners.
• Skilled across core security technologies: firewalls, proxies, secure web gateways, micro segmentation, NDR, DLP, SSE, and cloud security tools.
• Broad platform knowledge including Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, and major operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix, iOS, Android).
• Understanding of security testing practices such as vulnerability scanning, web app security, and DevSecOps.
• Familiar with key governance frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and ASD Essential 8, with the ability to produce clear operational reporting.
• Analytical problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to simplify technical issues for non technical audiences.
• Works independently in fast paced environments and collaborates effectively to uplift security maturity.
• Demonstrates high integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Brings 3+ years’ experience in roles such as Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Security Engineer, supported by relevant security certifications (e.g., CySA+, Microsoft security, CCNA Security Operations, SIEM/EDR/cloud/firewall vendor certs).
